The Suffolk County Fire Academy will host a Firefighter I Course beginning on Tuesday, September 21, 2021.  The course is a combination of classroom sessions, virtual sessions and self-paced learning over a 10-week period.  There will also be five hands-on training sessions (HOT) and a Practical Skills exam and written final exam. 

The classroom session of this course will be held at the Fire Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 21st.  The virtual sessions will be held at 7:00 p.m. on the following Tuesdays: September 28, October 5, October 12, October 26, November 9, November 16, and November 23, 2021. The hands-on-training (HOT) will be held at the Fire Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursdays: October 14, October 21, October 28, November 4 and November 18.  The final exam will be held at the Fire Academy on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at 8:00 a.m.

Student MUST attend all sessions of this course. Seats are limited and registration is required. No walk-ins will be admitted.  After your registration is processed, you will receive a confirmation email with final instructions.
