The Suffolk County Fire Academy will host a Firefighter I Course beginning on Saturday, March 6, 2021.  The course is a combination of classroom sessions, virtual sessions and self-paced learning over a 10-week period.  There will also be five hands-on training sessions (HOT) and a Practical Skills exam and written final exam. 

The classroom session of this course will be held at the Fire Academy at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 6th.  The virtual sessions will be held at 8:00 a.m. on the following Saturdays: March 13, March 20, March 27, April 10, April 24, May 1, and June 5, 2021. The hands-on-training (HOT) will be held at the Fire Academy on Saturdays: May 8 (8 a.m. & 11 a.m.), May 15 (8 a.m. & 11 a.m.), and May 22 (8 a.m.).  The final exam will be held at the Fire Academy on Saturday, June 12, 2021, at 8:00 a.m.

Student MUST attend all sessions of this course. Seats are limited and registration is required. No walk-ins will be admitted.  After your registration is processed, you will receive a confirmation email with final instructions.
